Brielle Ansems’ indie pop-folk sound is a lyric-centred and emotionally charged experience. Her debut album, This New Hurricane, was released in March 2020 and was commended for its artisanship and production value, earning Brielle a total of five 2021 Music PEI Award nominations and taking home Pop Recording of the Year. Her live show blends her folk writing approach with smooth, powerful, intimate, R&B-soaked vocals and alternative pop treatments.Brelle’s 2022 sophomore release, Still Awake, explores the realities of chronic depression and anxiety, spotlighting her advocacy for mental wellness and compassion in all things.
